“As you sow shall you
reap” this adage holds very true for the hot button issue regarding the booming
advent of newer technologies.
With such vicious competition in the market, instead of thanking
the available and doable technologies that we are been bestowed upon with, on
the flip side we have started to arbitrate and misguage them as well.
We talk of evolution; I say this is a ruckus whimsical revolution.
Why on earth are we being so competitive and demanding??The pangs of competition
has given us so much authority that we as human race, who were once upon a time
relying on letters to be connected with our loved ones are now questioning the
creditability of apps like screen touch, watsapp, viber and skype etc.
Who am I to debate between android and IOS juxtaposed in
technically sapped paradigms? Well I am technically sound but what about the
65% + population of India? The so called “LAY MAN’S” in the IT circuit. They
don’t want to know the comparison between IOS and android. They don’t talk in
terms of technical jargons like OS, GB and processor speed out of curiosity (exceptions
are there, but we are talking at a global level).
What makes them happy and simplify their already so complex
life is availing these technical gadgets in their limited budget. So that they
can save their hard earned cash to banish their future generations for being type
casted as layman and put that money to good use. They wouldn’t be willing to
waste their cash on high priced apple gadgets alias the mother womb of IOS,they
would rather buy a micromax with all the same features in 1/4th the
price.
I can vouch on behalf of 99% of 30+ aged generations of India
and of middle class population and for 100% of mentally sound Indians that we
would go for android. When it is giving us everything we need rather than IOS
phone (a dream for wannabe teenagers and those who fall in the category of rags
to riches).
A successful product is the one which touches the heart of
the common man and not the credit cards of few rich. Android has a global
appeal and customer base. Just doing one market survey would be great enough to
justify.
